This wedding was utter perfection from start to finish. We were in love with every little detail from this Cafe Brauer celebration. Lindsay and Tyler met each other on the rooftop of the Public, with the beautiful city of Chicago gleaming in the distance. The moment couldn’t have been more magical. From there, we enjoyed the sunshine and fall weather with the entire wedding party as we roamed the grounds of Lincoln Park for pictures. The ceremony and reception design by Liven it Up Events and Stems was a work of art. Everything from the draping, to the chandeliers, to the flowers and candlelight exuded glamour and sophistication. After the “I Do’s”, guests enjoyed a night of dinner, drinks and dancing. We had the best time photographing Lindsay and Tyler’s wedding. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart! Congratulations on your marriage.
There is no more beautiful time of year than fall in Chicago. We couldn’t have timed Carrie and Pat’s engagement session any better. The fall colors were at their prime last weekend. Lincoln Park looked magical. I met Carrie and Pat at sunrise along the lakeshore for the start of their session. Sunrise sessions in the fall always end up being my favorite. The best part about taking photos during this time is that the rest of Chicago is asleep and you have the whole city to yourselves.
What a special wedding! This New England beauty is easily a favorite of the year. Emmalee and I traveled to Boston, MA for Lisa and Matt’s countryside wedding celebration. It was my first time to the Boston area and I have to say I loved it. I can’t wait to come back to eat more lobster and crab, finish walking the Freedom Trail, and devour more Mike’s Cannolis. Yum!
What happens when you work with 1 super sweet couple, sparkling lights, killer shoes and a vespa? Magic! I had the best time working with Aria and Anthony last week for their Chicago engagement session. After all, it’s not every day a couple arrives to an engagement session in such style. 😉 Thank you Aria and Anthony! I hope you enjoy these photos. Congratulations again and best wishes as you plan your Italian destination wedding.
After a beautiful ceremony and a fun time spent around town with their wedding party, we arrived to one of my favorite Chicago wedding venues, Galleria Marchetti. I’m a sucker for anything outdoors and tented, and this venue fits the bill perfectly in the busyness of the city. The decor featured neutral hues, metallics, and lush greenery throughout. I loved the light and airy style. It was beautiful! Guests enjoyed champagne and cocktails, a delicious dinner, followed by a dancing and sparklers throughout the evening. Thank you Terri and Joe for everything. I can’t wait to put all of these photos together in your wedding albums! 🙂
Taylor and Nathan’s wedding day was beautiful in every way. The morning began with sunshine, Jenny Yoo dresses, beautiful blooms, and one of the most gorgeous wedding dresses I have seen. Taylor and Nathan each got ready at the Armour House, where they would later be dancing the night away with friends and family members. I loved every little corner of this magical place. Taylor and Nathan were wed at a family church. Friends and family applauded as the couple became husband and wife. We returned to the Armour House for pictures with the wedding party. There was no shortage of pretty spots for pictures. I could have explored the grounds all day! Afterward, the bride, groom and wedding party joined cocktail hour in the garden and mingled with guests. Meanwhile, candles were being lit inside the beautiful reception room.
I am crushing all over this wedding! Laura, John and their families are the most warm and kind people we have ever met. Their wedding day was filled with heartwarming and sentimental moments throughout; Aimee and I enjoyed photographing every minute of it. Bonus points: There were more than a few familiar and friendly faces of former Artistrie Co. couples in the crowd – Always a treat!
The University of Chicago is the most charmingly adorable campus I have ever seen. I’ve been wanting to take photos here forever, and Kelly and Dan finally gave me the perfect opportunity! These two UChicago alumni showed me around their beautiful alma mater, where they met and fell in love. It was an incredibly rainy and overcast day, but the weather made all of the greenery pop so vividly in photos. It was perfect! After dodging rain drops throughout the shoot, Kelly and Dan embraced the rain at the very end and had fun with it. Thank you both for being such great sports about the weather! I think we made it work. 🙂 I hope you had fun!
Where do I even begin? Catelyn and Bryan’s wedding at Chicago Illuminating Company was one of my favorites so far this summer! Catelyn and Bryan’s love story began at a River North bar with a red, white and blue cocktail, so a Fourth of July holiday wedding seemed like it was predetermined. Getting married on her favorite holiday and her parent’s wedding anniversary made the celebration all the more special.
