You don’t need to worry about posing or “doing it right.” I’ll give you clear direction and prompts throughout the engagement session, keeping things moving and comfortable while leaving plenty of room for real candid moments to happen.
We’ll choose places and activities that make sense for you. A favorite neighborhood, an art gallery you love, a walk by the lake, a glass of wine somewhere cozy. Nothing overly staged, nothing forced. Just the two of you, doing something that actually feels like you.

Engagement sessions with me aren’t about standing still and smiling on cue. They’re designed around movement, conversation, and shared moments — the kinds of things you’d naturally do on a date together.
I offer thoughtful direction the entire time, guiding you through prompts and experiences so the photos feel candid and lived-in, not posed or stiff.
Do you photograph proposals, or is this page just for engagement photos?
This page and portfolio are focused on engagement sessions — photographs created after you’re engaged, with intention and time to slow down together.
I do photograph proposals, but typically only when they’ve been thoughtfully planned with photography in mind from the start. Proposal inquiries are handled separately.

Most couples schedule their session anywhere from a few months to a year before the wedding, depending on how they plan to use the images.
That said, there’s no “right” timeline — just the season that feels most like you. I’m happy to help you choose a time and location that fits both your vision and the way you want the experience to feel.
