Not many people can say they met standing ON Wrigley Field, but that’s exactly how Angie and Alex’s story began. Alex, who works for the Cubs, met Angie at a corporate event hosted at the friendly confines and they both agree that it was love at first sight. When it came to planning their engagement session, there was only one obvious choice for the location: Wrigley Field. As a lifelong Cubs fan myself, I was thrilled to be a part of such a special and sentimental session. Being at Wrigley totally and completely empty was such a cool feeling. I’d say this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, but I’m hoping I’ll be standing amongst the ivy again soon! *Cough* Anthony Rizzo – I heard you’re engaged. Let’s talk. 😉
In all seriousness, this was one of my favorite engagement sessions so far this year — and not just because of the amazing location. Angie and Alex poured thought into every single detail, which made it all the more enjoyable. I met them in the West Loop with their adorable dog Harriet, whose collar was adorned with a flower. Angie had a small bouquet to match and it was special to take photos of the couple with their fur baby in their home neighborhood. While we spent most of our time on Wrigley Field and in the bleachers, Alex also took us up to the newly built Cubs HQ that features a beautiful rooftop deck overlooking Wrigley, the skyline from a far and all of the new developments underway in Wrigleyville. What a view! After enjoying champagne and the iconic ivy walls, we ended their session at dusk for a few final photos in front of the always beautiful Chicago skyline.
Thank you Angie and Alex for an incredible experience! And a special thanks to Alex for letting me wear your World Series ring for a bit. 😉 I can’t wait to work with you both again on the wedding day!
