Nicki and Mick’s wedding day felt exactly the way they described it from the very beginning: relaxed, joyful, and centered around the people they love most. The day began with a beautiful Catholic ceremony, where family and friends gathered to witness the moment Nicki walked down the aisle to Mick. From the very start, there was this easy sense of happiness between them. The kind that shows up in quiet smiles, little glances, and the way they naturally make each other laugh.
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to The Morton Arboretum, where the celebration continued among the trees as the October light started to soften. It was the perfect setting for an evening that felt both classic and completely personal. Between time spent with their families, playful moments with their flower girls and ring bearers, and portraits taken throughout the beautiful grounds, the day unfolded in the most natural way — full of laughter, connection, and the kind of moments that make a wedding feel truly meaningful.

Nicki and Mick planned exactly the kind of celebration they wanted: relaxed, joyful, and surrounded by the people who matter most to them. The Morton Arboretum in late October offered a beautiful setting. Still, the real story lived in the moments throughout the day. Friends laughed together. Families gathered close. Meanwhile, Nicki and Mick kept exchanging the quiet looks and smiles that say everything without words. Later, the dance floor filled and stayed that way well into the evening. These are the weddings I love photographing most. They feel personal, relaxed, and completely true to the couple at the center of it all.
