Lindsay and Tyler kept it local for this Lincoln Park engagement session. Living in one of Chicago’s most beautiful neighborhoods, the couple wanted to keep the session personal to them by exploring their favorite streets, alleyways and gardens for their engagement photos. I loved this idea! Engagement sessions are all about making it personal to the couple. One of the easiest ways to accomplish this is by picking a location that feels most like “home”. And what better way to feel at home other than taking your pictures at home? We even took a few of them in their adorable apartment lobby, featuring gold doors and rich mahogany walls. I caught a peek of their apartment, which features the most gorgeous views of the city, Lincoln Park, and Cafe Brauer – where they will be getting married a little over a year from now. For the second half of their session, we roamed through the Lincoln Park nature boardwalk and even revisited the very spot where Tyler proposed to Lindsay. We walked all the way to North Avenue Beach just as the sun began to disappear for the final moments of the session. After all, what better way to end a Lincoln Park engagement session than with the stunning views of Chicago in the background? Thank you Lindsay and Tyler for such a fun-filled evening! I am thrilled to be working with you next year on the wedding day!
