When Amanda and Wences asked me to photograph their California wedding, I obviously jumped at the opportunity! After working with these two high school sweet hearts not once, but twice, I felt honored to be able to document their wedding day celebration. Perfectly timed, the couple’s wedding date took place on their 11 year anniversary. How adorable is that?! This Leo Carrillo Ranch wedding was a dream to photograph. The entire event took place outdoors along the grounds of the historic hacienda that once belonged to famed actor, Leo Carrillo. Amanda and Wences wanted their wedding to feel comfortable and feel reminiscent of a family barbeque that was a staple in their families. They brought in oversized lawn games, a photo booth, and gourmet tacos to merge the backyard family barbeque feel into their wedding day. The event was flawlessly executed by WED Weddings. Events. Design. and had beautiful blooms in every direction by the talented Moments in Bloom. I had a BLAST working with the creative duo behind Campbellicious and cannot wait to see their video. And don’t even get me started on those gourmet tacos by SOHO Taco. When I found out this wedding was having a taco bar, all of my dreams came true! 😉 In summary, I’ve completely fallen in love with California weddings and I plan on making it back there soon!
