Gabi and Quentin felt right at home in front of the camera from the get go. The love and respect they have for one another is so clear.
They’ve only lived in the city for a few short years, and between work and everything else, they mentioned they haven’t had much of a chance to explore Chicago. This session ended up feeling like a chance to slow things down a bit. To be tourists for a morning, see something new, and have a date together to celebrate their engagement.
We met over at Lurie Garden to say hello and take a few quick photos before heading into the Art Institute. There was a light dusting of snow from earlier that morning. Not enough to feel like winter, just a small hint of it.
Inside, we moved through the Modern Wing first, leaning into the light and architecture, and then into the historic galleries where everything shifts and feels a bit quieter.
Quentin had mentioned he sometimes feels unsure in photos, but that didn’t last long. He loosened up almost immediately, and once we got going, it all felt really easy. They truly had so much fun together!
Gabi and Quentin will be heading to Mexico next year for their destination wedding. I’m so grateful I got to spend the morning with you both and document this season of your lives. Thank you for trusting me with it.
