My two very favorite Chicago hotels for my client’s getting ready photos are, without a doubt, The Public and the Waldorf Astoria. The combination of abundance of natural light, timeless decor, and neutral hues make both of these settings picture perfect for those bridal getting ready photos on the wedding day.

The Public

Why We Love It: It’s sleek and modern, with all white decor, and there’s a ton of natural light pouring into each room! This is heaven for wedding photographers. I love the big windows and white floor-to-ceiling curtains for hanging the wedding dress. The light and airy feel is magical for bridal detail photos. Because everything is so neutral in tone, nothing at this hotel will ever clash with my client’s wedding day styles and colors. Bonus: The entranceway and exterior of the Public is beautiful for a few photo ops as you leave for your ceremony.

The Waldorf Astoria

Why We Love It: The Waldorf Astoria is one of the most luxurious hotels in Chicago. As soon as you walk in through the regal courtyard, you know you are in for a special experience. The upscale furniture and creamy neutral hues are a few of the reasons why it’s one of my favorite hotels in the city. This hotel is beautiful on the inside and out, resulting in nothing but the dreamiest of all pictures.
