After an unexpectedly slow year, it has felt *AMAZING* getting back into my rhythm with engagement sessions. I’ve missed these so much!

I am absolutely swooning over Jessica and Sam’s engagement photos. It was so much fun to work with these two! We started our adventure around some of my favorite city bridges and Chicago River views taking plenty of advantage of all the architectural detail this pretty city has to offer. After spending time downtown, we migrated up north to Evanston for a picture perfect gardens and beach settings along Lake Michigan.

As soon as we hit the sand toward the end of our shoot, rain began falling from the sky. We could have easily called it quits and ran back to the car, but instead, Jessica and Sam committed and the end results were full on The Notebook vibes (anyone else still into this movie? No? Just me?). If I’m being honest, the rain photos ended up being my favorite from the whole set.

Thank you Jessica and Sam for such a fun session and for killing it in the rain! I seriously cannot wait to work with you again on your wedding day.
