I am thrilled to be sharing Catie and Jon’s Danada House wedding with all of you today! I don’t even know where to begin; every little detail had me in love. And as if the day couldn’t get any better, I had the extreme pleasure of working with my friends from Life in Bloom and La Belle Fleur Events.
I’ve known Catie since our band-nerd days at Willowbrook High School, so it was extra special to be a part of her day. I met Catie in her hotel room as she began getting ready to see her groom, Jon. The chilly morning began with sparkly Kate Spade heels, dahlias galore, and the most beautiful champagne colored wedding dress I’ve seen. Jon and Catie met each other outside of the barns of Danada House and had a special, private moment together. The happy couple and their wedding party roamed the grounds of Danada for portraits before the ceremony. Catie’s sisters wore different dresses, all in navy blue. The gentlemen wore gray suits with navy blue ties.
Now living in California, Catie and Jon wanted to bring elements of wine country to their celebration. Gorgeous arrangements by Life in Bloom sat on top of wine barrels as decor for the ceremony and floating candles were surrounded by wine corks. Guests gathered in the atrium to hear the couple exchange their vows and become husband and wife. It was an incredibly touching ceremony and had everyone, myself included, tearing up. Their officiant, Sheri Reda from Flow Ceremonies, did a beautiful job. At the end, Catie and Jon blended two wines together and each took a sip. Friends and family cheered and applauded as the couple shared their first kiss as newlyweds.
The candlelit reception was rustic and romantic and continued their vineyard inspired style. Everything from the navy blue linens, to the romantic floral arrangements, candles and vintage decor and peach jam favors made the space was warm and inviting. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Angeli’s Catering. After dinner, the dance party began! Everyone was on their feet to celebrate the Catie and Jon. Fun was had by all. Thank you Catie, Jon and your families for letting us be a part of your special day! I hope you enjoy these photos for a lifetime. xo
