Sunrise sessions in the fall are my favorite! The city is quiet and calm, and you practically have the whole place to yourselves. Morganne and Aaron got up early with me this last weekend to take advantage of the picture-perfect day in Chicago. The fall colors have been on fire these last few weeks and I can’t get enough of them!

This engagement session was pure magic. The combination of golden sunshine, the toasted fall colors, a woodland setting, and Julie and Eric’s smiling faces created the most beautiful photos. I adore these two and am thrilled to be photographing their wedding day next spring. I can’t wait to do this all again with you guys in May! 

Claire and Adam met living in the same Wicker Park apartment building. Claire needed help opening a bottle of champagne. Adam saved the day and has been opening champagne bottles for Claire ever since. To start this session, we went back to the spot where it all began, with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, of course.

Two of my favorite humans are getting married this Sunday!! I’ve been meaning to blog Amy and Matt’s engagement photos for months, but have struggled to find the right words to express just how excited I am for them. And here I am, packing my bags to fly out to their wedding weekend in Napa and there still aren’t enough words…

Today, I’m featuring a love story that’s been 13 years in the making. High school sweethearts, Stephanie and Alex, will be getting married next summer. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to be working with these two. We had the picture-perfect Chicago day for their engagement session and I’m drooling over all the photos.

Is it November yet? Because I’m ready for Jamie and Sam’s wedding day! There aren’t enough words to describe how excited I am to have met these two. If their engagement session is any reflection of how much fun the wedding day will be, we’re definitely off to a good start!
