If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that I typically host 2-3 Boudoir Marathon Events each year and I absolutely love them! I worked with so many amazing women over the years and I love how much you guys get excited about these. I have a blast every single time. 

Whenever I announce these events, one of the question I am always asked is “What the heck is a Boudoir Marathon anyway?!” It’s a great question and I’m going to answer it for you today.

 

For awhile, I’ve joked around with the idea of naming this the “#IWokeUpLikeThis” Boudoir Event, because really, that’s what it feels like! When you first arrive to your session, I will greet you at the door, pour you a mimosa (grapefruit mimosas are my new fave!), and then send you back to hair and makeup where you will be pampered by our all female team. Before we begin, I’ll review your outfit selections and recommend what you’ll wear first. Once you are glammed and ready, we’ll begin your photo session in this dreamy, Parisian styled loft space!

This beautifully decorated loft is gorgeous, light and airy and will make you feel right at home! As a photographer, I appreciate all the abundant natural light it offers. It’s incredibly flattering for boudoir photos and it perfectly reflects my style. You’ll be lounging around in your fancy lingerie or cozy outfits, gazing up at the chandeliers, with a mimosa in hand, and pretending like this a totally normal way to spend a Sunday morning. 😉

Don’t worry about the posing! That’s what I’m here for. I’ll direct you every step of the way to make sure you look like your most beautiful and confident self. My style of boudoir photography focuses on creating romantic, natural and classic photos — nothing too “pin-uppy” or cheesy. It’s all about bringing out your inner beauty and personality and letting that shine. 

So what makes it a “Marathon”? On a Boudoir Marathon Event day, I typically shoot 4-5 back-to-back boudoir sessions. While you are taking your photos, another lady will be back in hair and makeup. Because of this, I call these “semi-private” boudoir sessions, which makes the price point more affordable than a private session, all while giving you the same beautiful setting and all inclusive experience. I’ll provide the bubbly and snacks, and all you need to bring is your 2 outfits and your beautiful self!

About 3-4 weeks after the event, we’ll schedule a Photo Reveal Session and I’ll work with you to create the *PERFECT* gift to celebrate your experience. Because I work with many brides-to-be, this can include an unforgettable groom’s gift. While the photos from this session can certainly make a great gift to your partner, I hope you’ll find that it’s an even more amazing gift to yourself. It takes a lot of guts to do a session like this, and the reward is incredible!
