Rey and Chaehyun met for their very first time at the Art Institute of Chicago, so obviously we had to return to the scene to recreate all the magic. Okay, technically they mayyyy have met on the bus ride to the Art Institute, but it’s still a really cute story!

I love how personal their engagement session felt AND I love any excuse to use my membership to enjoy the museum before it opens to the public. For a brief few moments, it truly felt like we had the entire Art Institute to ourselves.

Rey and Chae flew in from Boston and I’m ever so grateful for having the opportunity to work with them. They marry later this summer in Korea.

Thank you both for letting me capture you in a city that has so much meaning to you. It was an honor!

 

Chicago Engagement Photos at the Art Institute

There was lots of twirling in front of Monet. Little factoid: the Art Institute houses more Monet than any other museum worldwide. So Chicagoans, take advantage!

We also took photos along the lakefront for those classic Chicago skyline views. Rey’s bright pink dress popped so beautifully in front of all the blues and grays.
