Winter in Chicago has its own unique charm and Layne and Brandon’s engagement session highlighted it beautifully. We spent a chilly, overcast afternoon exploring the heart of downtown, starting along Michigan Avenue.
Our main stop was right outside the Art Institute of Chicago and Lurie Gardens. The iconic lion statues, the museum’s beautiful architecture and vantage points of the city gave us a stunning backdrop. Layne and Brandon laughed, held hands and cuddled to stay warm, creating sweet moments despite the cold. Their energy made the session feel lighthearted and fun, even on a gray day.
To escape the chill, we headed inside the Art Institute. The museum’s elegant halls provided a warm, romantic setting for our session. Layne and Brandon left their winter jackets behind, which allowed us to capture a more intimate and relaxed vibe. The indoor photos added a nice contrast to the outdoor winter scenery, giving their gallery a perfect mix of cozy and classic moments.
Layne and Brandon’s connection came through effortlessly in every shot and I loved working with them! Winter engagement sessions can certainly come with challenges, but they also can be so beautiful too (read my winter engagement session tips here!). Thank you guys for such a fun session!
