This City Hall wedding in the West Loop will always have a special place in my heart.

Molly and Spencer envisioned their summer wedding day as relaxed and romantic with the feeling of an outdoor garden party brought indoors to their lofty styled wedding venue in the West Loop of Chicago. It was all that and so much more.

In typical wedding fashion, the getting ready part of the day was moving a mile a minute, full of frenzy and excitement. But when Molly and Spencer met each other at Humboldt Park that afternoon, time stood still. The two shared a warm embrace filled with happy tears before having a moment with their pup, Doug, too.

Their ceremony took place at the stunning Alice Millar Chapel at Northwestern, the campus where the couple met. As an added sentimental touch, their nuptials were officiated by the very same family member who presided over Molly’s parent’s marriage years ago. Afterwards, Molly and Spencer were greeted with a million hugs from all of their friends and family members.

Guests wined and dined at the beautiful City Hall wedding venue amongst the vibrant flowers and candlelight. The absolute highlight of the day was when Spencer surprised everyone, including Molly, by joining the band on his violin at the start of the dance party. He was AMAZING and the crowd went wild.

The wedding venue, City Hall (not to be confused with Chicago’s *actual* city hall) is a vibrant, lofty space in the heart of the West Loop. I loved the beautiful overhead globe lights, exposed brick walls and vintage bar. It was such a fun space for a wedding!
