A Wedding at Fourth Presbyterian & The Viceroy Chicago

Alexandra and Austin didn’t just choose Chicago for their wedding. They came back to it. From swiping right in D.C. over a shared Cubs obsession to getting engaged at their custom brick outside Wrigley Field, this city has been apart of their story from the beginning. So getting married beneath the ivy-covered stone at Fourth Presbyterian felt right — historic, a little iconic, and entirely them.

The celebration moved a few blocks over to The Viceroy, where skyline views, black-and-white candids, and a dance floor anchored by Portillo’s late-night snacks kept things relaxed and joyful. Elegant, yes. But never overdone.

By the end of the night, ties were loosened, the dance floor stayed full, and Portillo’s made its late appearance in all its glory.

It felt relaxed in the way the best weddings do — a little loud, a little emotional, and completely rooted in the people who showed up for them. I’m always grateful to be invited into celebrations like this, especially in a city that already means so much to the couple at the center of it all.
