She booked this session ahead of her wedding, originally thinking of it as a gift for her fiancé. Something personal, a little unexpected, and easy to keep to herself for now. That part held up, but it also ended up being more for her than she anticipated.
There’s usually a bit of a ramp-up at the beginning. Not nerves exactly, just wanting things to come together—hair, makeup, how it’s all going to feel once you’re actually in it. It settles quickly. Once we started, it became much more relaxed, and a lot less about getting anything “right.”
We kept the direction simple and easy to follow, with enough structure to feel guided but not overly posed. She had mentioned wanting a mix of something a little more classic and something that felt like her—lighter, a bit playful—and it landed somewhere right in the middle.
The wardrobe stayed close to what she had in mind. Mostly white, a soft pastel blue set, pieces that felt connected to the wedding without leaning too far into it. We brought in a veil for a few moments, and it worked exactly how it should—subtle, but memorable.
Everything was shot in natural light, which kept it feeling clean and uncomplicated. No heavy styling, no distractions. Just her, moving through it and getting more comfortable as we went.
There’s a lot happening in the weeks leading up to a wedding, and not much of it is actually for you. This felt like a way to step out of that for a minute. Not in a big, symbolic way, just something small and intentional.
She’ll give the images to him later (her album is STUNNING).
But this part was hers first.

Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
