Chicago Winery WeddingLauren + Billy

Last year, I remember driving home from a far western suburb and passing a beautiful vineyard along the way. I stopped my car, and couldn’t believe such a beautiful place existed and I had never heard of it before. Being the wedding photographer that I am, my first thought was “This would be a beautiful place for a wedding!” I went home and added Acquaviva Winery to my list of “dream venues”. Ironically, Lauren emailed me a month later to get information for her Acquaviva Winery wedding. It was clearly meant to be!

Billy said that their first look moment was the part of the wedding he was most looking forward to. The couple met in between the trees before the rain set in for the rest of that day. Despite the unseasonably cold weather (30-something degrees in September!), Lauren, Billy and their wedding party had a blast walking around the grounds before the ceremony. Billy had also mentioned that he wanted to be my “most entertaining groom” of all time, and I think he succeeded. Everyone was so much fun to work with at this winery wedding. The ceremony was moved indoors, but the restaurant at Acquaviva was stunning and made for a beautiful setting as the couple exchanged their vows. The rest of the evening was filled with wine (of course), laughter, and a whole lot of dancing. We had such a great time working with you Lauren, Billy and their families.
