While there may be less people in attendance than a traditional wedding day, my approach to photography and time spent preparing for small weddings remain the same.
My photography style is candid and natural, and to achieve this, my goal as a photographer is to be as unobtrusive as possible. This is especially important when photographing small, intimate celebrations.
Within the month or so leading up to your wedding, we'll meet to review your wedding timeline, photo requests, and all the special moments you are looking forward to so I can make a seamless plan for your wedding photography.
On the wedding day, I'll step in and direct when needed, but for the majority of the day, I hope you'll hardly notice me. The smaller the wedding, the more invisible I'll try to be so that I can capture the story in an honest, candid way.
Your photography package will be customized to the exact needs of your wedding event.
Once I know more details about your event, location, number of people attending, and duration of photography coverage needed, I can help you decide if 1 or 2 photographers would be a better fit.
For most weddings, I recommend 2 photographers, which will include myself and a second shooter.
We will discuss and ultimately decide what makes the most sense for your plans.
My minimum for all weddings taking place Fridays through Sundays is $6,000.
The work I do as a photographer isn't dependent on the guest count. My pricing is a reflection of 10+ years in the Chicago wedding industry, a professional and personable experience, responsive communication, excellence in customer service, the time and dedication I spend preparing for your wedding, my assistance with printing and preserving your photos afterward, and making you feel completely cared for every step of the way.
Regardless of the size of wedding, my clients hire me because they care deeply about photography and having their once-in-a-lifetime memories captured with a certain artistic point of view.
With wedding plans being uprooted because of the recent pandemic, many couples are opting to get married on their original wedding dates, but in a smaller, simpler way. In these instances, couples have postponed their full guest count plans and will be hosting their receptions and vow renewals at a later date.
If you are a current wedding client of mine and are considering having a smaller ceremony while you wait to host your planned wedding, please reach out and we can schedule a call to discuss. I'd love to work with you in any way that I can.
If you are a new client, I'd still love to hear from you! Please share more details about your plans below and I'll be in touch with more information for you.
"Yes, Ashley's work is flawless, but she is also an extremely genuine and relatable person. As soon as we met, I felt immediately comfortable - an essential quality to look for in a wedding photographer since you spend so much time together throughout the day.
Those who place a high value on photography, like I do, should not hesitate to work with Ashley. The proof is in the magazine-worthy photos. She will make you look like a million bucks and feel completely at ease in front of the camera.
If you have the pleasure of working with Ashley, you can be confident your photos will perfectly capture the beauty and essence of one of the most important days of your life. What a priceless gift."
