Garfield Park Conservatory Engagement

Connie & Bill
Garfield Park Conservatory

I shared a sneak peek from the second half of Connie and Bill’s engagement session earlier this week. Now, it’s time for part one taken at Garfield Park Conservatory! Some of you may have noticed the cold and snow earlier this week (but in true Chicago fashion, it’s going to be in the 70’s tomorrow). Lucky for us, Connie and Bill planned for an indoor engagement session from the get go. It was such a relief to not worry about the weather! Garfield Park Conservatory was the perfect oasis on a wintry Chicago day. Dare I say, I was even a tad too warm, but I’m not complaining about it. The palms, the desert house, the fern room gave us all the summer vibes without having to leave the Midwest. It was the perfect spot for the start of their engagement photos!

I met Connie and Bill bright and early, right as Garfield Park opened that morning. We timed it perfectly so we didn’t have to worry about the crowds. Apparently this is a popular retreat in the winter time. Thank you both for such a fun session and giving me the chance to photograph two locations that I adore. I SO cannot wait until your wedding day at the Ivy Room this September. It’s going to be perfection.
