Happy Friday all! I’ve been staying busy with recent framing and matting projects and wanted to share some recent work with you guys. Last weekend, Team Artistrie (aka me and my dad) installed 3 different wall displays. Here are all the behind the scenes details of this Chicago wedding photographer…

First up is this wall trio for Maddy & Brian’s bedroom. We selected 3 black and white prints: one from their Chicago skyline engagement session, another from the wedding day, and a third from my own personal art collection showing of Chicago once again. The prints are 4×6 each with extra matting to fill the 16×24 black frames. The classic black frame and white matting with the black and white prints paired beautifully with the charcoal wall color in their bedroom.

Second project, also for Maddy and Brian, included 2 15×15″ square frames. We stayed with the black frames and white matting to best accompany their home decor. When deciding which photos to print, I always recommend picking the photos that bring you the most joy. You are going to look at these photos every day at home, so make sure they make you smile. We picked two of Maddy and Brian’s favorite photos from the day. The first: the two of them after just being announced husband and wife. The second, a stolen kiss amongst the trees.

We decided to stack these vertically in between 2 windows in their living room and it worked great with their high ceilings.

Our last project was for Catelyn and Bryan’s Fulton Market apartment. They selected this beautiful black and white print to fit a 40×20 black frame. The 40×20 ended up being our most popular frame size in 2017 and it’s no surprise as to why. The panoramic style has a WOW factor and can fit into any space.
