Cafe Brauer has quickly become one of my most photographed venues in Chicago, and I don’t think I’ll ever tire of it. The venue is one of a kind and every time I’ve worked here, the space has been transformed in a completely unique way. I had been looking forward to Liz and John’s wedding all year and it definitely ended up being one of my favorite weddings of 2017; snow, rain and all.
It was a quiet, snowy and rainy morning in Lincoln Park as Liz and John got ready for the day with their wedding party. The couple met on the rooftop of the J. Parker to take it all in before heading to Cafe Brauer for portraits. It briefly began to snow, and in the most beautiful way. Loved how the portraits turned out despite what a west, cold day it was.
The wedding ceremony was held at St. Michael’s in Old Town, one of the most beautiful churches in the city. After a bagpipe recessional, we returned to Cafe Brauer for the celebration. The event was coordinated perfectly by Clementine Custom Events and the flowers and suspended candles from the ceiling by Vale of Enna looked breathless. The whole space felt warm and inviting, just the tone Liz and John hoped to set. After a delicious dinner by Blue Plate, guests danced the night away.
Congratulations again you two! Loved every single part of your wedding.
