The Artistrie 2020 Plan

Artistrie: Two Year Anniversary

There are two business anniversaries that I celebrate each year: my first day as a fully self employed business owner, and the day I became Artistrie Co.

Exactly two years ago today, I released the new brand and vision for my photography company, and I haven’t looked back since. Rebranding my business into “Artistrie Co.” is still one of the best business decisions I have ever made.

When I made the decision to leave behind “Ashley Biess Photography”, it was because I had a bigger picture in mind. You see, I never wanted my business to be just me and my name; I wanted it to be something more.

I am constantly setting new goals for my business. In the past few years, I have achieved more of these goals than I ever thought was possible. I want to continue setting the bar high and achieve even the unachievable.

With that note, I’d like to publicly share my current business goals. Because I’m planning to achieve these goals within the next 4 years, I’m unofficially calling this the “2020 Plan”.

I am sharing these goals today because I’m a huge believer that the more you put out into the universe, the more you’ll get back. If you read this list and are interested in being a part of my brand and helping me achieve these goals, I would LOVE to hear from you. Seriously. Email me at: ashley@artistrieco.com. Here we go…

Artistrie 2020 Goals:

Hire 1-2 Associate Photographers to Photograph Weddings & Engagement Sessions – Every year, I receive far more inquiries than I can ever handle alone. Instead of turning people away, I would love to be able to serve more couples interested in working with Artistrie Co. In addition to the 25 or so weddings that I photograph each year, I would love to have an additional team of 1-2 photographers to take on their own Artistrie clients. Ideally, these photographers would love working with people, feel passionately about positive client experiences, be interested in training closely with me, and would want to grow with my brand.

Hire Part-to-Full Time Employees – In the very near future, I would love to have employees who can assist me with editing, office work and PR.

Have a Studio Space! – With the *hopeful* growth of my business, I’d love to own or co-share a studio/office space. This space would serve as an easy place to meet with clients and to work with my growing team.

Offer Wedding Video Services – This a big one and has been on my mind for quite some time. In fact, this goal is the reason why I did not include “photography” in the title of my business name. For over 3 years, I’ve envisioned a future of offering both photo and video services, and I am very optimistic to turn this dream into a reality by 2020. I would love for someone to join my team who is passionate about creating beautiful, timeless wedding films.

Photograph 5 Destination Weddings Per Year – Traveling for my business is one of the best parts about my job. While most of my business is centered around Chicago, I would love to do at least 5 destination weddings every year for a change of pace and scenery. I particularly love traveling to California, Arizona, and Mexico, but would also love to someday shoot a wedding in Scotland, England, or Italy. Dreaming big here!

Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of my business! I’m looking forward to checking in again this time next year to see the progress I’ve made towards achieving these goals. Xo
